The Location...
Griffin House is located in Poplar, just a 15-minute bus ride or cycle from the Whitechapel Campus of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. The area offers excellent transport links to Central London and Stratford via the DLR, making travel quick and convenient.

It’s also within easy walking distance of other key locations - only 30 minutes to the Mile End Campus of Queen Mary University of London and around 20 minutes to Canary Wharf.
The FACILITIES...
Griffin House is made up of six flats, each accommodating four students.
The flats are spacious and fully furnished, with every double bedroom including a desk, personal sink, and ample storage space. Each flat also features a shared kitchen, dining and living area, bathroom, shower room, and a separate toilet.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout, and there is also a secure bike storage room for residents.
The RENT...
Many students will agree that renting near the Queen Mary or Barts campuses can be expensive. At Griffin House, we offer an affordable alternative - in recognition of the time and commitment our students dedicate to volunteering with the Trust, rent is subsidised to £144 per week, inclusive of all bills (adjusted annually for inflation).
The rent contributions from students help fund the events and activities we organise for our residents - a rewarding way to give back to the local community while enjoying affordable living and a meaningful student experience.
